REPORT WRITING
Reports are factual descriptions of events or an incident.
They are written in an easy to understand, simple and precise language . There
are mainly three kinds of reports:
1) Newspaper report
2) Report for newsletters
3) Business report.
Features of Report

2. by line.
In case of newspaper reports
Report by

In case of report for news letters
Report by (Name
of the person)
3. Place and Date.
Eg: Delhi, Jan 20
4. Third person narration.
5. Use of passive form (what is more important not who is
reporting but is what happened.)
6. Report only facts and in the order in which they happened

Highlights or other relevant informations.
